This Privacy Policy describes how The Hand Car Wash, San Antonio, Texas (“The Hand Car Wash,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information in connection with The Hand Car Wash Accounting application (“Application”). The Application is primarily an internal business tool used to assist with accounting, bookkeeping, financial reporting, reconciliation, and related business operations.
- INFORMATION WE ACCESS
When the Application is connected to QuickBooks Online, it may access accounting and business information authorized through the Intuit QuickBooks Online API. Depending on the functions being used, this information may include:
- Transactions, invoices, payments, expenses, deposits, and other accounting records.
- Customer and vendor information contained in QuickBooks.
- Account balances and chart-of-accounts information.
- Financial reports and related accounting data.
- Other business information made available through authorized QuickBooks Online API access.
The Application accesses QuickBooks information only after an authorized user grants permission through Intuit’s authorization process.
- HOW WE USE INFORMATION
Information accessed through the Application is used for legitimate internal business purposes, including:
- Bookkeeping and accounting administration.
- Transaction review and reconciliation.
- Financial and management reporting.
- Identifying accounting discrepancies.
- Preparing information for tax and accounting purposes.
- Improving internal financial-management processes.
- Supporting other authorized business accounting activities.
We do not use QuickBooks data for unrelated advertising or marketing purposes.
- SHARING OF INFORMATION
We do not sell QuickBooks information or other financial information accessed through the Application.
Information may be shared only when reasonably necessary with authorized employees, accountants, bookkeepers, tax professionals, service providers, or other professionals assisting The Hand Car Wash with legitimate business operations, or when disclosure is required by law.
- INTUIT AND QUICKBOOKS ONLINE
The Application uses Intuit’s QuickBooks Online API to access authorized accounting information.
The Hand Car Wash does not receive or store a user’s Intuit password through the Application. Authentication and authorization are handled through Intuit’s systems.
Access to QuickBooks information is limited to the permissions authorized through Intuit.
- DATA SECURITY
We take reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information accessed through the Application against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.
Access to the Application and associated accounting information is limited to authorized users with a legitimate business need.
- DATA RETENTION
Information accessed or maintained through the Application is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for legitimate business, accounting, tax, legal, or operational purposes.
Where applicable, information may be deleted when it is no longer required or when access to the Application is disconnected.
- DISCONNECTING QUICKBOOKS ACCESS
Authorized users may revoke the Application’s access to QuickBooks Online through their Intuit account or through functionality provided by the Application.
After access is revoked, the Application will no longer be authorized to retrieve new QuickBooks information unless access is authorized again.
- THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
The Application may rely on Intuit and other technology or hosting providers necessary to operate the Application. Those providers may process information according to their own applicable privacy and security practices.
- CHILDREN’S PRIVACY
The Application is a business accounting application and is not intended for use by children.
- CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the Application, our business practices, legal requirements, or technology. The effective date shown above indicates when this Privacy Policy was last updated.
